[Error: unknown template qotd]Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!
Now, go away, or I will taunt you a second time...

I'm terrible at comebacks, but there's a great little book called "getting in touch with your inner bitch" (which my husband bought for me - LOL!) It's all about getting in touch with your strength and not letting people walk all over you. Anyway, the response it recommends when people try to get you to do things you really don't want to do is "I don't think so". It's less confrontational than a blunt "No" and works in many situation. "Can you work an extra six hours overtime for no pay?" "I don't think so"; "Mum, can my bikie boyfriend come live with us and leave his motorbike in teh living room, even thouogh I'm only 16?", "I don't think so."

There's a section in the book for guys - 'Getting in touch with your inner Prince'. It's a great book. I recommend it.

Tehe, love Minty Python.
I actually use that one a lot...not really.

Oh my, I just wrote Minty Python. How terribly clever of me. Sorry, I meant Monty.

Heh heh heh. Good one! I'm sure there's an accent somewhere that says Minty - and if not, there should be!
